Re: Targa Top Update 10/17/2005 pics...
Thanks for the support on the DD SFC's, and 6pt Cage being enough. You seen Whistler's I know you all have, your questioning everything when it's been stated all he has is SFC's. The top will be made from CF, I will have pics of it the week come Halloween. I am working on the dash getting it painted, and working with some more filler, and final glazing compound now, gettin the chassis read for paint. Hopefully I can shoot some high build on the chassis portion and get some pics before I head back to Indy for the week for school on Tues. morning. However if not, I will be back come Friday for more work!!

how about the locking mech. for the top? Just the normal t-top locks?
I believe thats all whistler has done as well? I remember he spoke of lifting towards the center, but i think that with a different material?
Do you have any plans for additional locking? And this is even assuming you'll build the top panel using the t-top structure
but it definately seems the easist way to go!
good luck man, can't wait to see how it turns out!!

I will have other locking provisions to keep the center from pulling. I am aggrevated thought that it will probablyu be Thanksgiving before I have pics for you guys, due to Hurricane Wilma my supplier's closed. I wont be home after next weekend until Thanksgiving, so next weekend I will post pics of other projects as well....

I always thought that the convertible latching setup would be perfect for a targa setup. Just need posts on the back, similar to how t-tops latch up, and the latching setup from a vert(which is slightly adjustable) on the front.
I was looking at making a removable hard top, with a targa portion, but was concerned with wind buffeting.
