I have been wanting to change the lights on my 98 Z... cuz I dont like the yellow part they added after the 96 model...would it work to get the older tail lights(93-96 lights) for my car...or would the size of the light and wiring not work or fit?

There is no problem with them regarding the size. They are a direct fit. The wiring is different. There are 5 wires on the '97+ cars and only 4 on the previous years. You might have to get the previous model wiring harness or possibly modify your existing one. If you do a search in this section you can find many posts regarding what exactly you might run into involving the wiring issue.

 

the blub housing is also different (the way the blubs screw into the taillights. I'm sure you'll have to change that as well. I know since I was sent 93-96 taillights for my 97 and the turn signal bulb would not fit.
