Tail Light LED's.

I bought LED's for both my brake lights and turn signals, but could only get the brake lights to work. I know the turn signals require a different type of relay. But, I've bought two and still can't get them to work. Anybody have any ideas on how to get the turn signals to work, with the LED bulbs? Thanks.

Your going to have to add a regular bulb/pigtail assemble. Paint the bulb black and let it hang in the trunk. I worked for me when I added six led's and STS to my SS.

You will need to buy an electronic flasher. Any auto parts store will sell them. The problem with your regular flasher is there is not enough amp draw with the LEDs to heat up the metal in the flasher to make it work like a thermal flasher... thus the need to go electronic

Here are pics of my bud's clear Trans Am tail lights with LEDs...

Brent...have you seen anyone do that with the 93-96 z28 lights. I would like to see how that would look. Might be pretty cool.

I tried two different types of flashers from the parts store in the past and still had nothing. Is there a certain part # I need. Also do they make clear tail lights like that for the 93-97 Camaros, without having to use the Altezzas? Thanks for the info. everyone.

If I am not mistaken the T/A lights they had to take apart and mod the inside of the stock light to make it clear. I looked at my stock lights and could not tell if we could do the same thing. That is what I am interested to know myself.

The only thing that makes the trans am tail lights appear red is a clear red diffuser inside . Remove the outer lens , pull out the red diffuser = clear lights .

Are the Camaro lights set up the same way? I think that they're colored plastic? If not, that's cool!
