Tail Light Center

I've had this idea for almost as long as I've had my T/A... I would like to turn the tail light center piece into another tail light/brake light. I am wanting to cut out the "TRANS AM" and bird emblem and fill it with... I guess epoxy unless someone knows of something better. I need to find some DOT red dye to use with the epoxy for color to match. Anybody have any suggestions on how to cut out the letters and emblem, or what to use to fill it? I would be mounting lights behind the piece that I would splice with wires from one of the brake lights. What do you all think?

What might be easier/better is to drill several small holes in the Trans Am wording and bird and then stick several LEDs in there. Here is an example for you... not of a 3rd brake light application because it is on all the time but it still looks pretty good

Re: Tail Light Center

Somebody posted that pic to me the first time I posted about my idea. But I think that was done with Fiberoptics. I'm thinking more along the lines of using a Dremel rotary tool to cut out the TRANS AM and the bird, but I'm thinking it may be very difficult to do the bird. THen I want to lay it down on some wax paper.. or something that possibly won't stick to the epoxy.. and fill in the cut-out areas with the epoxy. I would need enough epoxy, with the right amount of DOT red dye to do this. And after it dries, I plan on installing a few lights behind where the center piece goes.
