Talking T tops done!!!!!!!!

Well i finally got around to it......and i must say it was fairly easy although i had help and he did most of the work but it seemed pretty easy. We finished in about 6 hours. It looks amazing. Still have to bondo and paint the area but other than that it looks great. Best mod i have ever done. I took some pictures but i was driving around all day so i didnt get around to develope them but i'll do it for sure tomorrow. Big thanks to Gripenfelter for the manual Came in handy so many times

I guess that installing T-Tops on a coupe would give the best of both world............no added weight due to having the undercarrige stiffened and having the comfort of an open roof.

but you pretty much HAVE to put subframes on, or it will just tear your car apart

Coupe and t-top cars have the same frame structure. You won't tear your car up with no sfc's. It's better to have them on there but there is no harm done by not making the frame more solid.

I welded in double diamond subframe connectors from www.sybersport.com ($186 to my door) and the car is now stiffer (after the t-tops) than when it was a hardtop.

Email Darren at info@sybersport.com and tell him Grip sent you for the subframe connectors. They're basically Kenny Brown knock-offs.

Trust me man do it. Its been the best mod i have ever done. I got my kit from ebay for 300.00 and the headliner brand new from a dealer for 170.00 in total i spent about 550-600 bucks for the whole thing. Hey SATANAZ666 i know man i cant believe we (well you) finished in 6hrs when i told all my friends that it only took 6hrs they were all surpirsed they were all expecting to last at least the weekend. I'll post the pics as soon as i get around to finsihing off the bondo and paint.
