what color is the roof when the t tops are taken off?

 

I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about. There isn't really a painted area under t-tops, just rubber seals.

 

When you lify the tops off my car the underneath color is the same color as the body color of my car. My car is a 96. However my sisters 95 is painted black underneath the t-tops.

 

your sister had a change of color somewhere down the line. when the cars are painted from the factory, before pannels and interior, the whole car is prmered and sprayed in the main color of the car. then stripes or pinstriping is added. pannels and glass are added towards the end.

 

My sisters car has not had a paint job. I have a friend with a 94 z and under his tops is painted black also his car is red, my car is red and the underneath color is red also I think they changed the process in 96. If it helps at all all the cars I am speaking of are two-tone, meaning one color for body color and black top and mirrors!

 

93-95 cars are painted black under the t-tops, 96-up cars are painted body color under the t-tops.

 

My friends 95 is teal green with teal mirrors and teal roof area. under his t-tops is also green. if the roof area is black, the area under the t-tops should be black, if its the color of the car, so will the area

 

Maybe the swtich over was mid 95 then, I dunno.
Doesn't matter what color the roof is, cuz on my car the roof is black and under the t-tops is blue.

Maybe we're wasting our time trying to figure this out and there's really no rhyme or reason to it, hehe.

 

it depends on what time your car was made in 95. I've heard the switch was made in mid 95. However, if you have a 1sz rpo for (late production) there most likely black like mine.

but my car is black so that doesn't help much
