Stupid Cup Holders!!

Our cup holders are so lame and shallow....any drink of any size much bigger than a thimble tips over because there is no support on the front. I remember a while ago...some company made a little lip to go in the front, thus making the holder a bit deeper and safer...does anyone know what I am talking about?

Thanks
Nathan

Hah! I agree with you totally man. I lost that little rubber deal as well, I actually posted about it a few months ago and got a part number for it:

GM PART # 17997732

Only $2.19+ shipping pretty great price. I am just waiting to order more before I order just the little rubber piece.

Thanks
Nathan

Do any of you remember back in '93 or '94 the commercial for the Camaro with some classic rock blar'in, 2 hot chicks driving it, and the ad said that it had a cup holder big enough to hold a "big gulp"?! This thread just got me thinking back to that!!! Looks like it'll hold that "big gulp"....just as long as your sittin still!

I remeber the big gulp commercial and I remeber also thinking why does my 94 camaro with a Cd player have a cassette holder underneith it? I remember think why are there speaker grills and holes by the passenger seats but no speakers and no option to even include speakers. I actually went back to the dealer and told them i was missing speakers. I remember thinking I will never buy a new design untill all the quirks are worked out in the later years. I got to see HP increased, interior upgrades. I was really upset when the LS1 came out. But o well

Yep, I remember that commerical... it was in 93 I do believe. I also remember thinking when I bought my 94 new in 94 that that commercial was full of crap because there was no way a Big Gulp would fit in there!!!

As for the speaker grills, you had the Bose option which came with three speakers. The standard stereo had four speakers and those holes were filled so it wasn't like they just didn't have the design worked out yet The upgraded system didn't include those speakers on purpose. Yeah, seems stupid but that's the way it was Must not have mattered though because most don't even notice there aren't speakers in there!
