...just curious how that works out, if you have t-tops and want stripes do you even put them on the roof? and are all T-Tops glass in fbodys?

 

The stripes will go on the hood and on the hatch and the t-tops are glass in f-bodies.

 

how often do leaks come about on T top cars? thanks

 

It all depends on the weatherstripping and how snug the window is against it.

My t-tops used to leak and then when I had two new power window motors installed, I learned that the factory motors were so weak, that they couldn't push the window up any farther. You might get a drop here and there, but it won't trickle down unless the rubber is bad or your window motors are shot.

 

Mine have a very small leak in one area. I get a little puddle on the passenger seat everytime I wash the car.

 

Traditional Chevrolet "heritage stripes" don't go on the roof, just like the 60s era Chevrolets never had stripes on their roofs.

 

I do think most people might put them on the top of the b pillar between the t tops and hatch though if they have a ttop car...

 

I had the strips on my 94 just on part of my front nose, hood, and rear spoiler and it looked awesome.

 

Yes, some have... But, they're going against the traditional pattern.

 

The factory ZL1 cars have the stripe that continues on the roof, but they were all hard tops. When I get the ZL1 stripe painted on my car, Im only getting the roof and the hatch painted.

 

I put stripes on my t-top car. I think it looks better and has a better "flow".

Only have it on the front bumper, hood, trunk lid, and spoilers... mine's custom painted on, though.
