stipes paint or vinyl
Yea well I love the side flags. Have had them on my z28/ss for about a year. With a white car and having black stripes I have never had a problem with them fading or not shinning. I love them and with my warrenty I can replace the anytime I want. If i had the money I probably would paint them on but it only cost 350 with a 7 year warrenty. When i went to the paint shop he was like 2500-3500 for the stripes.

As for paint or vinyl, since price isn't really an option, I'd recommend vinyl first. Keep it for a year then if you like it, take them off and have them painted on. Painted on stripes are much more difficult and expensive to "undo"
Ive put vinyl stripes on cars and have had them last 3-4 years with no problems. The first time I ever put stripes on a car was almost 5 years ago and they are still on that car today and look as good as the day i put them on. They have shrunken just a bit (1/4") and you cant tell that they have shrunken, but are still very glossy and have the same texture they did 5 years ago. Avery makes an 8 year outdoor vinyl that is super glossy and easy to work with that I love using for vehicle graphics/stipes.

Total cost via a local custom paint show was $3k then add another $1k for the hood cost.
They did front & back.
