steering wheel covers

Anybody got any GOOD suggestions for a nice replacement steering wheel cover?

I need to know it'll go in the spaces that need the cover and not have to continue around the part that doesn't. In other words, it needs to be a two piece, either by design or allowable by cutting.

Wheelskins any good?

....???

LOL I would opt for a wheel, but I don't want to deviate too much from stock appearance... and I don't plan to keep the car forever so I don't wanna knock off resale value.

You're just looking to fill in the gaps? I had a similar problem with my 93 Camaro or 94 Camaro Z28 (can't remember which any more). Unfortunately, I never looked into fixing the problem. My steering wheel was worn out at the very top.

Yep mine's worn out at the top where I usually hold the wheel. The wheel itself is fine; the leather at the top has an ever-expanding hole in it. I got to work yesterday and had black thingies stuck all over my pants and shirt and my hands were black

Surely don't want to ruin the nice styling by installing a one-piece cover, not to mention a one-piece would be puffed up where there is no cover now - where the plastic parts of the center wrap around the wheel.

I wonder if I could take a one piece and cut it, or if the ends would fray and look bad... so many questions...

Maybe you could get a wheel from a salvage yard for a reasonable price. They should be plentiful.
