Again, thanks for all the support! Most of you say to go ahead with the badges, but I like how Ponykillr put it by saying the first SS's
were Z28/SS. So I was debating on leaving the badges on the outside of the car the same and maybe doing the Z28/SS in the interior. For example, these floor mats...http://www.lmperformance.com/images/parts/40182.jpg

True you wouldnt be able to sell it as an SS for authentic reasons, but it is a SS if it has all the SS stuff on it. Which is mostly looks. The original SSs were Z28/SSs which really messes with the whole idea that they are very different. + the SS is done by SLP not GM. So the real SS is just really a modified Z28 again.
Still is not a real SS by the way of VIN #s but who really cares about that other than collectors.
Would we all buy a 1969 clone SS if it had all real SS goodies like they came with????/ Sure we would, no difference here. The only thing that would be supergay would to just drop SS badges on a plain jane Z28 or V6.
I put 1969 Z/28 emblems on my car. Does that make it a poser 1969 Camaro? No. If you do all of the SS stuff and put badges on it and a "real" SS owner gives you shiat, tell them to grow up. Then ask them what really makes their SS different from yours. If its just the VIN # being recorded at SLP, id tell them to suck the ****.
Have fun with your car. Id do the same thing if I were you.
BTW I have a T/A dash. I guess my mutt car is a POS in some ppls eyes of perfection. Do what you want but just make it look nice, no commado wings or clear tailights please.
