SS spoiler on a 95 Z28.....

Just put a SS spoiler on my 95 Z28 and i didnt have to do any mods..just spliced the wires and connect em togther. Eveyrthing works fine, and no ABS light. I tried putting hazards on but that didnt work..still no ABS light Oh well...i guess i am lucky

nah...in 1996, GM switched from OBDI to OBDII. The older system needed the resistance from the bulb to work and since led's only flow power one way, the OBDI type cars would give a trouble code. In the newer OBDII system, that isn't the case.

I do believe it was 1998 when GM changed to the newer style SS spoiler and LED bulbs. I have a 1996 SS and it uses the same 3rd rear brake light housing and lights as my 1994 Z28.

well your theory is obviously WRONG..since i have a OBD1 car and i dont need any mods..i simply connected 2 wires and it works fine..no ABS light etc.
