Wood like some feedback if anyone as installed a SS Hood from Suncoast Creations? (www.suncostcreations.com) My 99 Z28 convertible was in an accident last Friday, want to install a SS Hood when fixed. Looking at ordering Hood this week. Would like a functional SS Hood. Not going to install air cleanter right now but plan on down the road.

 

Keep in mind that the Suncoast Creations hood is not a actual SS replica. A closer replica is the ASCD SS Hood, or FFI SS hood. Here is a comparison:

Where can I get pricing etc for ASCD HOOD? How about the RK Sport Hood. Doesn't look to bad. Are these capable of being functional?

 

Yes the RK Sport and ASCD both have kits to make them functional.

By the way, I see that you have a LS1, so I stand corrected regarding the FFI SS HOOD.

Do not get the FFI SS hood for your LS1 because it is not a accurate replica either. Only their LT1 version is a accurate replica.

 

the suncoast creations hood looks good IMO. and they do make quality good fitting hoods.
