[hey man, wasnt trying to come off rude, just being real. Like he said, whats wrong with "z28"? I love the look of an ss too, but id say if you had like red z28 badges it would look better. and maybe a red manta stripe on the hood. not trying to be a dyck.
I have never liked black and red, I have always liked the black and silver or silver and black. Sorry I wasn't trying to be rude either it is just the second time I got Sh*t for having badges on my car.
Do you have an LT1 SS spoiler too? I can't decide if I want the LT1 SS, or get the LS1 SS spoiler (slightly taller) and cut off the supports in the middle. I plan to get a VFN cowl hood with it, I'll keep my Z28 badges though.
I do have the LT1 Spoiler and I am thinking about buying the LS spoiler......I will just have to wait and see. Running low on money after buying the hood and having it painted.

Who made that hood?

Btw, I just bought a OEM 2002 SS spoiler on ebay. The paint was excellent. They sold it to me for $350 shipped. It was from a salvage yard in Big Lake, Minnosota. Called R&J. Looked to have many camaros there. May want to check them out if you are local to that area.

If you really want to get technical, doesn't your signature say you have a RS body kit on your SS??? hmmmm. Hypocritical poser in disguise??

The hood looks good. As someone stated, losen the factory bolts locations and adjust it that way and see if you can get it lined up.

I have been playing with body panels and the hood........I think it is the best I can get it for now.

If the guy wants to put ss badges on his car, let him. It is always the "real" ss owners that have an issue with it. I guess it makes them feel less special.

Guys do it all the time on the older camaros. They are called clone cars. As long as he does not try to sell it as an SS. (the new buyer should check the vin anyways.)

Do whatever you want. I'm sure you are psyched about having the hood painted and installed. I'm happy for you. But definately get some SS wheels to complete the look. Then if you want to truly be an SS clone, get the suspension.

ss vs. z28 cannot be decoded from the vin...

Aftermarket hoods on our cars is not meant to be. They have the worst fitment issues i have ever seen (I have an aftermarket myself) So much gaps everywhere.

Anyways, no hood pins?

I have hood pins on my hood and I'm about to remove them, fill the holes and repaint it...i don't like the look personally. it does fit better with the pins locked, but its not horrible without them locked down.
