If they can't figure that out what the car is by looking at it, then I imagine the Z28 emblems and the big CAMARO written across the rear would confuse them.

the car is a Z28 with a SS hood....

those Z28 badges looks sharp on that LT1

The SS hood doesn't signify that it's time for SS badges. This coming from a guy that went through that clone stage for a summer. I have since switched over to C6 Z06 style Z28 badges, and the car looks better. Find some different Z28 or Camaro badges. The restoration industry and the aftermarket both provide good products.

Too many cars have the "SS" option these days, keep it original with Z28 emblems.

What's the big deal? SS was just an appearance package. If you want to put on an SS hood, SS wing then I have no issues with someone putting on SS badges.

Although, I prefer to keep the Z28 badging because it means more then SS and sounds cooler.

I would suggest taking a look through classic industries catalog and looking at all the different Z/28 badges there are.

I opted for the 69 grill emblems. I replaced the stock badges with those and shaved the bowtie of the grill and put a emblem there as well.

Keep it a Z.

first off...no SS wasn't just an appearance package.
Second, you can add a hood and spoiler all you want, it's still not an SS. end of story. end of thread, and if you feel otherwise....well...you're wrong.

I have no issues witt people putting GTR badges on their civics, do I know they're moronic for doing it, yes, am I going to go out of my way to stop them, no.

I'd go with chrome but not in the OEM style. I feel that that style does not work for the SS moniker.
