Squeak in trunk area....

I know this has been discussed multiple times in the past, but what has everyone done to fix this?

I would check the spare tire, the jack, and the hatch itself. Why is this in the appearance forum

My antenna comes loose about every 10,000 miles, producing a very annoying squeaky noise over bumps... check that after you take out the spare tire

the latch can squeak. I have electrical tape wrapped around the upper part of mine for that reason.

Spare tire, jack, hatchback latch, and the interior plastics on the underside of the hatchback can all squeak. Check them all.

I glued some foam to the underside of the plastic spare tire cover, those pieces are so flimsy that it is hard to get them to latch down properly. Not only does the foam insulate sounds coming from the rear, it also adds some weight to those pieces and gives them some backbone. I also did the other side.

Another thing I noticed is the security shade/flap if I leave it open I hear rattles/squeaks but if its closed I don't hear them.
