Something better then factory center console armrest?

Anybody know where I can buy a custom center console armrest? The factory ones totally SUCK! For what they cost the damn things should be a lot sturdier. I'm on my 3rd now since 99! And I REALLY don't want to buy a 4th.

You're breaking the side opening console door in your 99? Wow... My 97 has the same center console and it's still in great shape. I could understand if you had the 93-96 console that opened from the rear. Those totally suck, but what are you doing to break the 97-02 door?

Well.... I lean on it when i take things out of the glove box, and when I drive...........But I never thought I leaned on it hard enough to crack the damn thing in 7 places.
Not just the side, through out the whole door.
So............Any suggestions besides don't lean on it, or don't lean on it so hard?

Man, just don't put all of your weight on it like that. It's not a seat or a leaning post... I put my arm on it when I drive too, but I don't see how you can possibly put enough weight on it to crack it if you're just using it as an armrest. Unless your arm weighs a couple hundred pounds, of course.

LOL...... No If my arm was that big I don't thing I would be able to shift gears.....LOL. I only weigh 250lbs and I'm 6'2" tall. Maybe a Kevlar reinforced carbon-fiber armrest, or fiberglass.
