They have export assemblies available from GM for the '93 - '97 Trans Am/ Firebird. It allows you to replace the bulb as opposed to staying as a sealed beam. The housing has much better reflective qualities and lighting angles.

Right now there are not too many options. The replacement housings are about the only one. I'm running E-Code Autooptiks ones with 100/90W bulbs and they work very well. I have heard of horror stories about autooptiks, and actually my GF had a major issue with them. So.. even though they work for me, I would NOT recommend them. Check out ebay fro the diamond headlights, those are similar housings.

Wraith, are these export lights that you are referring to the Autooptiks ones? If not, are they made better?

okay i found a diamond headlight kit on ebay. Is their housing glass? Reason i ask is because i saw a cheap kit at autozone that looked like it was plastic, plus it didn't come with the bulbs and it was like $55 bucks. I would really like to do this swap. I love the look of those Silverstar bulbs....

Negative, they are true export lights. Which means they are not autocraptic, they are a GM made product for those cars going overseas. They have much strictor lighting requirements. These can be purchased from a GM dealer atleast one member from this board has them. Sorry, i don't have any part numbers, but hopefully Curt will chim in. He is the owner who informed me about these about 2 years ago.

not only dois gm have export lights, but they are the same size as the s10 headlights(older models with square lights) and they use h-7 bulbs. look in summit in the rice section. also look for matrix on google. a friend of mine has the matrix lights and they are awesome. came with 80/100w bulbs, and he only paid 45 bucks shipped
