So i did replace my fog light
I have never in my life, ever replaced a foglight like that. It was really, really pain in the f#cking ***. I followed Brent's instruction on his website and basically had no luck. I was about to give up and put the clips back on and, clunk, the buld popped out and i replaced it. I swear it took me over an hour to do this.

I remember when I had to replace my fog lights... I believe I ended up popping out the pins from under the bumper and going in that way. It's funny how much of a PITA a "simple" project like that could become.

Yeah I tried following Brent's instructions too. I broke the pins that hold the light in, so now I have it rigged up until i get new ones. DEFINITELY easier to pull the pins from under the front and go in from under the car. I think it can be done in under 10 minutes

I had to replace my fog lamps (the actual glass housing) since I had a "brake and lamp" inspection and I failed due to one of them having a crack in it.
In my eight years of owning this car, I have used my fog lamps MAYBE a total of one hour. After having to replace it, I doubt I will ever use it ever again so I won't ever have to change it out. I can do both turn signal lights in about half an hour but this was a major pain!
Such a pain that I paid for fog lamp covers so if a rock hits them, it won't crack. Plus, the glass housings are $$$$.

No doubt they are a pain in the ***. You can either go in from underneath and pull part of the front cover down with those freakin' plastic pins ... or ... you can pull the fog lights out if you can get them free from those freakin' plastic pins.
I usually pull them out... after hours (and hours) of screwing around with them over the years, I've finally adapted a cumbersome technique using a needle nose pliers and a screw-driver.

I did it in about 15 mins... not counting the time I took to sand the housings, supporting structure, masking and spraying them black before reassembly. I also used a cotton swab with metal polish on the reflector before putting the new bulb to see if that helped to make it brighter. Looks a lot better now!
