you might remember about 3 weeks ago i ordered an ultra z hood from slp, well it arrived about a week ago, and the guys at the body shop said it was the biggest piece of crap they had ever seen, ( humps and dips, spider cracks almost a quarter of an inch too long) so i called slp and they said to take pics and e mail them to me, so that being done, the guy at slp said there has to be a board meeting on what should be done, and im tellin them im gonna pack the hood up, send it back and you send me a better one,simple as that, one that isnt going to cost 900$ to finish......., so they have been jerking me around for exactly 1 week now, not returning phone calls,saying that they are still reviewing my case, and they wont give me my money back its for slp credit only, after this experience i dont want to deal with them, ive spent well over 1500.00$ with this company, i think i deserve better than this, anyway sorry for this being so long, the queestion to everybody is.....has anyone else had this kind of experience with slp?...and what do you think i should do? i can see this going on and on......and it realy pisses me off......please try to refrain from smart *** answers

And they are supposed to be a "sponsor" of the board.
This is nothing as bad as yours, but just another example of their "customer service".
I bought an item from them that didn't come with installation instructions. I e-mailed them, asking if they could simply send me a set of instructions. This was over a week ago, no reply, no instructions...I wonder if they have to have a board meeting for that too?

I sell SLP products but I'm seriously thinking about stopping it. As a dealer, we don't get much discount from them and if they had good customer service I might live with the crappy dealer discount but honestly, it seems like they just don't care. As a dealer, that comes back on me and people buying stuff from me to so yea a customer hates it but as a dealer, it can affect me 10 times more. Sorry to hear about your bad SLP experience.
I've heard that if you post something on their message board that is derogatory towards them, they will delete it and possibly delete your username. Even if what you're saying on their board is true. I was seriously considering the ultra Z hood too. but after reading this, I'm going to reconsider.

Plus if you don't OWN a "SS", otherwise known as gods gift to the world I guess... you are pretty much unwelcome on that board...
SLP reminds me more and more of RK Sport... not a good thing.
They screwed me over about a year ago. They even went as far as sendning me emails with vulgarity and also banned me form their message board when I posted it there.
Mind you I was very civil and calm. Just stated what happened and such.

They are awful. I ordered my CAI in the fall from them and took 2 months with 3 phone calls askin what the hell is up for it to come in and the day after i really needed it. THEY SUCK. I will never order from SLP EVER again and will advise everyone the same. If they dont treat the customers with respect (especially the f-bod guys) then they dont deserve our business. Simple as that. I hope they go out of business.
Man that sucks Bro, I got my Ram Air H.O. hood from them back in 98 and it was really nice. I also got a Fan Switch from them at one point that didn't work as advertesed and they gave me a refund. I haven't gotten any thing from them in a long time. Hope it all works out.

I painted an LS1 Ultra Z hood for A guy on this board (Kisles2000Z28) and it was the best fitting, straightest fiberglass hood I've ever painted. I did very little prep work, and the car is black which will make or break the quality!

Damn that sucks....I would just send it back and put in a dispute with your credit card company after it gets returned to them if they don't REFUND your money.
Don't put up with their BS. I have heard too many horror stories about ordering stuff from them. There have been a couple of items I wanted to buy from them but I looked elsewhere because of the reputation they have gotten.

I ordered my LM and CAI from them, from time of order to time of shipment it was 3 days, then UPS took 4 to get here. My package arrived VERY well packaged, with instructions, no stickers, so I asked them for stickers, I got stickers. (dont they add like 40 RWHP
)
