Question Silverstars installed but...

Just installed some 9006ST 55 Watt Silverstar headlights on my camaro. I like the whiter/bluer hue to the light but I was wondering how I could make them brighter? Has anyone tried to use the 9005ST 65 Watt Silverstars in the low beam housing? Will the stock wiring support 65 Watts on the low beams?

One other question, are there any bulbs for the fogs that give out the same type of light as the Silverstars?

TIA

You aren't really gonna get any brighter than those with your stock housings. The high beam headlights in the low beam position doesn't make a whole lot of difference, since our cars are a quad headlight setup. The stock wiring will support that just fine and dandy - but it isn't gonna make a whole lot of difference. The Silverstars are as good a bulb as any that you can put in the stock housings.

You might want to look here for the fog light bulbs. They are at the bottom of the page. You can also do a search on MSN, Google, or wherever for "White 885 Bulbs" or "Hyperwhite 885 Bulbs" and you'll turn up some. Some of them are cross referencing bulbs, which aren't as powerful - and watch out, some of them have 90* bases.

This is correct - you would have to get different plugs at AutoZone and splice them into your low beam wiring.

The stock wiring will support up to 100w bulbs no problem, but to get the most out of your stock housings you need to upgrade to 100w bulbs + a heavy duty harness.

Your current setup is actually dimmer than stock. You need to up the wattage.
