I like the look of the collectors edition TA's with the bottom part of the rear bumper black, with the yellow/black color scheme the car has. I will be getting my car repaired from some hit-and-run damage in about a month or so, and am thinking about painting this part of the bumper silver. I will be adding LS1 taillights and the silver reflective "PONTIAC" rear decal as well. I have accented the interior with silver and the engine bay with silver and polished alum/chrome.
What do you guys think? Would this look good?

 

I think it will look nice. Especially since you already have alot of silver/alum/chrome accents on the car. Go for it. Post some pics afterwards.

 

That sounds pretty good to me.

The body lines really lend itself to that painting scheme, and the colors sound like they'd go together very well!

 

I think I am going to go ahead and try it. Just have to wait for my tuition reimbursement check to come in, then I'm taking it into the shop to get it fixed. Anyone have any pics of this already done, so I can get an idea what it looks like, or can photoshop some pics?

The Mystic Teal/Silver combo should look pretty good. There is a guy on Firebirdv6.com message boards that has a 96 Mystic Teal Camaro with Silver GFX, and it looked really good. Also you could get a rear filler panel (piece that goes between the tail lights) from an 02 CE TA that has the Silver bird and silver Trans Am lettering.
