BIGKernel44, how was the workmanship of this hood? I steered clear of carhoods.com because they are basically the same (if not exactly) as www.usbody.com and there have been a number of fitment/workmanship horror stories from not only this board but some of the truck boards as well.

How much reworking (if any) was required? How is the fitment? These items, are far more important, IMHO, than
looks.

Also, these come with the ram air holes closed, correct? How did you open them and where did you get the screens?

Sorry for all the questions, but like I said, I've heard nothing but bad things about carhoods.com and usbody.com, so I would like to hear something good for a change.

As far as the fit, its prettyyyyyy good (i stressed that alot because it needs to be shifted to the side a lil on the drivers end) there is a few visible imperfections that i can see which will be perfected by the guy my dad is friends with, does show cars out here in jersey he is a legend around here for quality jobs, oh, an G.O.D. shipping decided it would be fun if they dropped the hood an cracked the corners so they are gettin the bill =) hope that helps an thanks for the comments

Oh i forgot to answer you on the rest, the scoops come closed, a dremel tool with a small bit will open them up (leave 1/4 inch) around the edges of it so u can put the screens in, and the screens are from a TA simply dremeled out an smoothed down then coated with a metallic paint. =) hopefully the local CNC shop can get my billet ones completed before the next show.

i bought a similar hood from u.s. exotics in gettysburg pa, no association with us body. It fit awesome, and it comes opemn and ready for a bolt on s.s. airbox for 93-97, its on my lt1 z28 and looks awesome, get many compliments. you can find them on ebay only place, all handlaid fiberglass, i was there and he installed my hood so i saw his operation. they run about $600, ready to bolt on
