Show me your painted interior!

I've been thinking about painting my interior. Not the whoe thing but stuff like the vents, trim pieces, etc.... but i want to see pics of this done because i dont want it to look tacky. So if anyone has pics of a painted interior let me see'em.........please

Also how is the proper way of doing this? I saw a package on a website that included 3 cans and would "dye" the plastic would this work? Whats the name of the website or somewhere i can get this from? Thanks

Check out my link in the sig. Its probably on page 2 of my site.

I just used Caliper paint since I had it lying around. Did about 7 coats really lightly. Then I clear coated them.

I see no paint in any of your pictures. The seats look great btw, too bad they never offered blue.

Here's one picture of pu12en12g's interior. It's one of the only ones I've seen that look great. Killer car.

Usually painted interior = IMO.

I've never tried the dye, but, I heard it's pretty much, well, paint. I just used Krylon for mine, and, it turned out really nice. I didn't bother with a clear coat because I want it to look more like red plastic than glossy paint.

Check out page 4 of my webpage.

After searching and finding 17 different ways to paint the interior, I came to my own conlusion and I think it came out very good.

1. Clean the peices with rubbing alcohol.
2. Paint 4-5 coats of Krylon's Plastic paint.
3. 4-5 coats of clear coats.
4. Wait 24 hours untill you put them on. REMEMBER, just becuase it's dry to the touch, doesn't mean it's totally dry.

Oh, don't forget to paint the hatch struts, I just finished this so I don't have pics up yet, but it looks sweet.

It's all about having a professional paint it.

Cost me a bundle for my door panels and convert. covers but man does it look good. Looks just like a painted body panel.

All the home jobs I have seen look ghetto imo.

The prep work is a bitch, but paying a professional to do it is not necessary.

Pics in sig (mostly page 2)

I did this guys interior trim in one afternoon. Vents, door handle trim console etc..

It would have turned out alot better if we had more time, but it is just one example. In other words, imagine how good it can turn out if you actually put some time into it.
