Short Antenna?

I saw a Grand Am with this really short rear antenna the other day. It sort of spiraled up about half way, then continued straight the rest of the way up. The antenna was about half the size of ours.

Does anybody know the part number for this, or know where I could look it up? (besides calling a Pontiac dealer)

Why not just do the power antenna mod? It would look better but I still kind of prefer the look of the stock antenna.

Stock antenna is to long for my tastes. Something a little shorter is what I'm looking for.

What he said. Just cut it to desired length and epoxy the ball back on

I just bought a short antenna for my Z. I bought it from SS inserts and it looks just like the stock one but is only about 8 inches tall. It is VERY good quality and looks very nice. I am pleased I went with it. The quality is VERY goos and looks like its billet. You can either get is polished or black like I did. I think the site was ssinserts.com. I thought about doing the electric antenna but I'm glad I did this. Good luck!

Here is another vote for cutting your antenna down to size yourself. I have done it also and don't have any reception problems either. By far, the cheapest route to take is to do this mod.

So the ball just pops on and off? No welding?
