Shocks for Eibach Sportline
Shocks for Eibach Sportline
I just had some Eibach springs installed on my car. Good deal on the springs/install and align and I didn't want to deal with taking apart the front end. Anyway, my intention was for him to install the Pro Kit. I didn't know until I picked it up he put the Sportline kit on. It looks great so I am happy with the appearance... But the car is much bouncier than I would like. What shocks would help contol the travel enough so I would get rid of this bouncy condition? I don't necessarily want to spend a fortune on shocks, as I would like to spend money on other stuff for the car.
The handling change just from the spring change and a little negative camber is dramatic by the way.
Here is a pic of it after installing the Sportlines...

Thanks for the help,
Brian

I've seen the Bilsteins for ~$500 and another set SLP Bilsteins for ~$400. Anyone have any experience with Koni or something cheaper on Eibachs? Had I known I would have done them both at the same time.

I have Koni SA's. They'd be great for you because you can adjust them to your liking. Believe me, they are a lot of shock, you could easily get rid of that bounce. However, I believe they'll be more than you want to spend, I think they're like $750.

Oh, just saw you're in Ann Arbor. Where'd you have them installed at that is an Eibach dealer?? Get a decent price on them?

I have a friend who has a friend that works at Belle Tire in Fenton, he installed them and sold me the springs at their cost. $350 installed w/ alignment. Camber is about -.5 deg now a little out of spec, but better for performance. I think that is a pretty good price...

I cant afford it I got the fronts free when I swapped my stock springs for another guys pro kit and he had stockers out back too so I wanna go the cheap way out back so the rear doesn't settle lower than the front
I got the sportlines on my bird and i went with the Bilstein HD shocks....... they work great... but just like the other guy said... my camber is off now.... i need to get it adjusted but cant find the specs.. i asked a shop and they said to get the specs from eibach.. but they dont have any and they said to go with factory specs... anybody else have this problem? or perhaps some specs?
thanks
thanks
Check with Sam Strano www.stranoparts.com he spent an hour on the phone with me one day and I wasn't even ordering anything (he races an f-body)! Just wanted to find out about some better shocks for my daily driver. His recommendation was Koni's up front ($220 each) and Bilstein's out back ($80 each). Since you're lowered, my guess is either the Koni's or revalved Bilsteins.
