Which shifter ***** fit?

I need to change the leather wrapped shift **** on my '96 Z28, its not in very good condition. I would like a leather covered one so it matches the steering wheel and brake lever.

I've been checking in different places but the usual one is the black rubber one used on the RS and base camaro. There are also some black vinyl T shaped ***** from Firebirds, and haven't seen any nice leather type ***** for automatics, only for manual trans cars.

Which shifter ***** fit? Do all GM ***** have the same distance to the retaining clip? will a leather **** from a C5 vette fit?

Whatever **** you get, if you are installing it on a stock handle you need a 16mmx1.50 thread size...Thats the stock setting on Camaros/Firebirds...As far as ones from C5 Vettes though I'm pretty sure the thread pattern is 9/16-18 so I dont think it'll fit, but I may be wrong

yeah my car is an automatic, that's why I was thinking of a Vette **** that also has the button on top. it seems like the aftermarket only makes stuff for manual trans so they don't have to engineer the release button, just a simple **** that screws on the end of a rod.
