seats and harnesses

where can i get a set of racing seat brackets for a 3rd gen camaro? i cant seem to find any. would they make the seat position higher than it is stock? do they require any modification to the car besides bolting them on?

also, ractive appearently has special 4 point harnesses designed for their seats. are these harnesses secured to the seat or what? ive been told they usually have to mount to a roll cage. i'd like to get some harnesses in my car, but i cant put a cage in there-i need the back seats available for my sub box and a back seat passenger every now and then

Re: seats and harnesses

You can use 4th Gen seat brackets - they are the same. Dunno if it will set you higher or not with your brand of seat/beacket, but mine did.

Search the appearance section here for more info on steering wheels. You can't use a universal adapter though - it will have to be model specific - which is quite easy to find for the 3rd Gen. One should be made by the same brand of steering wheel are you using - if not, it is probably a 6 bolt MOMO style. There is a thread titled "The All Inclusive Steering Wheel Thread" that has that part number in it.
