Angry Seat Wearing Out Too Fast

Hi, resently redid my seats in leather and the side booster on the back of the drivers' seat is already wearing out. Every Camaro that I have looked at the was a little used has the same prob. Does anyone know of a way of stopping this from happening?

Damn! Who did you go through for your leather redo? When did you get it redone?

Have you been using cleaner and conditioner? That is the only thing I can suggest. Keep it supple using something like mothers or lexol. I hear Zaino leather treatment is the best, but I haven't used it myself, yet.

If you are already showing wear, it's a little to late to reverse it, but by keeping it conditioned, you should be able to keep it from getting worse...

Good luck!

The whole key to keeping the bolster from wearing out is to get in and out of the seat without rubbing up against it. It isn't hard to do and I don't know why everyone isn't more careful. There isn't much you can do to reverse the problem now or to prevent it except to be more careful. Mine still looks great.

I know it looks crappy, but get a seat cover for daily driving. Take it off for special events or shows.
