I'm in the process of converting my 1995 Firebird interior to black from it's original tan. Panels, most of the seats, and various trim are done but:
>>>>Where is the best place to buy black seat-belts and what all do you need for my car or will similar 93-96 F-body work, too?
Looks like 8 pieces total; front and back or 4 'sets'.
>>>>Has anyone successfully dyed or painted their seat-belts - the belts themselves or do they have to be replaced?

I did this on one of my previous cars, and I got the belts out of a junkyard car at the local pull-a-part. If you have one of those DIY junkyards nearby, you can probably score the belts for next to nothing.
A nearby wrecking yard quoted me 100.00 for a set of black belts to fit my car. Is this a reasonable price to pay or too high?

My Fiance makes purses out of seatbelts and we buy ours from a local upholstery shop. They charge us $3.50 a yard for the gm 5 row webbing.

Very interesting...I wonder if I can order from them online? Can you post a link (or PM me if you prefer)?Originally Posted by Hooliganzhotrod

Those would be good, but unfortunately they are not black.

You're going to have to go custom if you want black. Ebony is as dark as you can get.
And since you said you have a '95, I'm assuming you're putting '93-96 seats in, in which case the darkest was graphite/charcoal.

I figured you'd chime in about that.
There's no such thing as a black interior piece unless it's something that's black on all Camaros/Firebirds regardless of beige, gray, ebony, graphite, etc. seats and trim (ex: window triangle, door handle, etc).
