Scratched My CAR!!!
Scratched My CAR!!!
I f*cking scratched my car
. Today were having a Nor-Easter in New Jersey and I was cleaning the garage to try and get the f-body into it and after 2 hours I realized we didn't have enough room and on my way back out a cabinet was open and the inevitable happened. I should have bought a cover but i'm poor. After I was properly done beating the sh*t out of the cabinet
, I came onto here. Its a series of a few scratched the longest 6 inches and none are thick. How much am I looking at here for repair?

well...have you run your finger nail down between the scratches.... because if there not thick and you cant fit your nail in to bad and your car is fairly new so i would hope that the clear coat would be fairly thick... i know this might be stretching it.. have you tried to rub / buff them out ? my best friends car was keyed and its about 2 years old... he was pissed.... they were deep... i buffed them out... you could never tell... its worth a shot
i had a few nasty scratches last summer, i tried for days to buff it, wax it out. i ended up taking it to a body shop, they used rubbing compound and it cost me $100 well worth it, they ended up doing every scratch on the car
I have the same on my front fender...it's about a foot long. I have no clue where it came from...but I think it's from a cart at the parking lot at my work. That's why I triple park now hehe. But I'm looking to probably get mine looked at and fixed this summer with the crack in my back bumper...I suspect that happened also at work. I originally wanted to learn how to do it all myself, but i'm just having too much of a hard time figuring out where I'd have the space to try to paint it. So I guess I should just work more and pay for it. I should see if I can get it rubbed out though.
