Sanding interior panels
Sanding interior panels
Ok guys, not to long ago I saw some interior panels on a web page that looked real smooth, they looked like the out side body. The site said the guy sanded them and painted them. Can you really do this? How would you go about this, how could you sand the panels down smooth that they look like body panels?
i think there is 2 ways to go about it. either just sand them down with a fine grit sandpaper til smooth, i mean very very smooth. Or you can just slap some bondo over them then sand them til smooth. i wouldn't reccomend the bondo though, cracking et.c
I believe you just said with a harsher grit like maybe 120 then switch to a fine grit like 800-1000 until they are smooth. The harsher grit will take the little bumps out and the finer grit with smooth everything out.
Start off with coarse paper, about 120 or 140 grit, then move onto about 300 or 400 grit, then put the finishing touches on with very fine sandpaper. After you sand, prime it then paint it. There was a post a few days ago on painting interior, you might want to search for it.
