replacing side molding on panels and door

a buddy with a 2000 v6 hit a barracade in the road and broke off some of his door molding.

where can this be purchased? or should he just wait till he has it repainted (gonna be a while) and have the shop do it?

thanks guys

IF your friend decides to put it back on, and IF it's the same as the '95 molding, I've got some that you can have. I just took it off of my car last week. You cover shipping and they're yours.

How do you think it would look with no moldings on a red maro?

PS If i did take them off would you be able to tell where they where, or would i have to buff those spots out?

On mine, I just had to use WD-40 to get all the adhesive off, then washed the car to get the WD-40 off of the car. There's no color difference between the visible paint and the hidden paint.

I'm sure there are other things. I know I heard of another product when I was asking for advice on solvents to use, but I don't remember the name. WD-40 worked very well for me. I sprayed it on, let it soak in, and scraped the goop off of the car. I used the equivalent of a plastic razor blade to get it off of the car. Then I went back with a rag and more WD-40 to get the rest of it off. There was a little line where the top of the molding was, that I thought was in the paint, but it was just really baked-on adhesive. You can’t tell that it was there now.
