Replacing rear quarter???

Is there somewhere I can find step-by-step instructions on replacing a rear quarter? I bought the car with a bad quarter panel, looks like alot of bondo....I thought about just sanding all the bondo down just to see what is there, maybe I could fix it with a little bondo. Thanks in advance.

Replacing a rear quarter is NOT something for a beginner... nor an intermediate for that matter...

It requires a LOT of time and labor to do it correctly...

I've done them before with assistance from my brother (Who's got 20+ years in the auto body business experience) And it still took a while, and was a LOT of work..

Step by step... basically gut the car, and break out the plasma torch after measuring and measuring... then trim and weld in the new one...

Yeah, I knew that it would be very labor intensive. I have a buddy that does a lot of bodywork but has never replaced that quarter panel. He doesn't do it for a living but has done alot on his own. Anyway, I was just looking for someone who has done it and maybe took pics along the way, etc...just to see what all exactly is involved. Thanks

It is extensive work. My quarter was horrible and probably the only thing holding it together was bondo...but there was no way to tell from outside. I had a new one put in last spring and it took the guy a very long time to do it and he's been working at a collision shop for 30 years.

There's no way in hell I would try to tackle the job myself, or let someone that hasn't been doing bodywork 24/7 for 20 years. I had mine done last summer. I checked in every few days to see hwoit was going. Wow. More patience than I would ever have. Cost $1500 to have done, but it was an insurance claim so I am sure they charged more.
