Removing Front Bumper to Install SS Grill

Hello everyone, to start off, please forgive me if there is already a thread out there about this but i couldn't find it to save my life!

Anyway, I just bought an SLP SS grill for my 2000 LS1 today and was trying to go about installing it. My stock plastic "camaro" grill is bolted on the inside i believe. I found a few threads saying that some people could just give it a "tug" and it would pop out, and others said there's were bolted from behind. Mine did not pull off so im assuming its attached behind. So my next step is to remove the front bumper and remove/install that way. The thing is i have i don't have the guts to go exploring and pulling stuff off to find out what it takes to remove it so i was wondering if anyone could give me tips, pointers, or even pictures on how to do it? Possibly even a thread if i was too blind to find it

I would appreciate any help you could pass along!

The page on SLP's website for the grille has a link for installation instructions:

It's not too bad, but if you're nervous about taking the bumper off, then you'll definitely have fun drilling the new holes to mount the slp grille.

Well i bought mine from a guy on another forum and it didnt come with the clips to hold it in so i still need to figure that out. Drilling holes shouldn't be too bad

And thanks for the link!

I got mine used too and all the clips were broken off. I just used a bunch of double sided tape (the kind you use for emblems) on the back and a little on the sides and mine's pretty secure there. I think you can order replacement clips though. They're not listed on SLP's site, but there's a part number in the instructions, so you can try calling and ordering.

yeah, i got the grill out and put everything back together. then went to O'Reillys and got numerous amounts of different clips to see which would work best. Of course with my luck, none of them did so thanks to the 3 day weekend, i'll be making a call Tuesday for the real clips. im just hoping i drilled my holes right
