Re: Removed the front plate bracket

maybe use the liscence plate scews and paint them gloss black then screw them all the way in the holes. It would cover the holes until your ready to fix the rest of the paint

Should look much better then it does now.

You can sand some of the material around the edges of the holes, take the dust and mix it with superglue til you get a nice bond then fill the holes in. Theres also this stuff called Duramix that bodyshops use on stuff like this.

Re: Removed the front plate bracket

Judging from the looks of the rest of the bumper, it is due for some prep and paintwork soon anyhow. I had a similar situation, once I took off the front plate, I bought some of that Bondo contour putty that comes in a tube. I worked it in the holes and made the surface as smooth as possible with a putty knife and cleaned off all the excess residue from the surrounding areas. Once it dried, I got a small paintbrush and touch up paint and painted the the two bondo spots. Its really only noticable if you are right up close. Its only a temporary fix anyhow as I plan on having the bumper redone in a couple of months.

You could get a billet grill.

Re: Removed the front plate bracket

When I took the front bracket off the Formula, I got a couple push-in plastic body plugs, just large enough to cover the ring surrounding the hole. Cut back the rough edges with an Exacto knife, pushed the body plugs in and painted them with the left-over paint from my hood. You can just barely see one of the plugs in this photo.
