i remmeber seein it done on a camaro, it was whistler's i believe.. il hunt around and see if i can find a pic of it for ya, because i was considering doing the same thing myself last year!

Ive seen that pic. I also researched the name. It was a Ttop car converted to a targa top. That's way easier than trying to make a removable top for a vert. Apples to oranges.

I always like the targa top look too, the only thing that has held me back is that when you cut the "T" out of the t-top you lose a TON of structural rigidity due to Fbodys being a unibody frame, you would have to put a very strong multi point roll cage in (like the one in the picture above) along with boxed subframe connectors just so the chassis could handle the twisting force unless you had a v6 then you would prolly be fine

for most street cars you probably are right, however when i go to the track i RARELY see verts throwin down low numbers, also didnt some verts have a type of factory sub-frame connector? Im not trying to start a huge debate but i would like to ask this Whistler character his reasoning behind putting a cage like that in his targa Z
