Red or black caliper ?
I know thats a stupid questions but im ready to order my C5 brake conversion kit but im kinda cunfused on the choice of caliper color.
My car is silver,black 18 inch zr1(all black no polish lip) i want to look mean and underdog so i was thinking about taking the black one but my friend told me that caliper are meant to be red

I honestly think that a silver Formy with black rims that had red calipers wouldn't look too hot, almost like it was an after thought or just too busy looking. I would go with the black calipers

I say red. I have a pewter z28, close to silver, and was trying to decide between red and black too. I decided on red, mostly because every other pewter camaro I saw had black, and I have a little bit of a red theme going on; interior is burgundy/purply red...ish and the center cap on my ZR1's have a red chevy bowtie, and eventually I'll get red LS1 emblems or different z28 badges. I think it sets the wheels off nicely along with the pewter. With black wheels, I'd still say red, I think they'd make the whole wheel area stand out and look aggresive. I found a couple of pics to help me decide, even though a pewter (or silver) car w/red calipers was hard to find, I got about two. Black looks good too, if you don't want them to really stand out, then go black, maybe w/decals.

I have a silver ss with chrome zr1s my calipers are red and I get compliments on them all the time. I don't know which I would pick with your black wheels. I think I would still go with red.
