Recovering Sun Visors?

Does anyone know of a place or way to recover the factory sun visors? I have the graphite ones, and the elastic is shot, and the previous owner tore one. I have been looking on EBay for some, but the prices a ludacris for crappy visors. I was thinking of taking it to a local upholstery shop, but I don't know if they can do anything. Any help would be great, looking at those things drives me nuts!

I managed to get one free, at a local recycler yard, by knowing a guy that works there after my driver's side broke at the mount bracket/hinge. It was not nearly as good condition as the original, and I had to trim the elastic off completely as it was stretched out, but the price was right.

I suppose that an upholstery shop would be able to match the fabric closely if they were unable to get 'original' material, but you may want to have them BOTH done if not.

I can only guess at any costs? FWIW, I had my headliner redone over the summer with 'original' material and it was $150. SO I'm thinking it would be less than that.

Hope this helps.

Jeff

When I got my headliner redone about 5 years ago the upholsterer told me that he could recover the visors but he would not be able to keep the mirrors on them. I opted to not get mine recovered and keep the mirrors (why, I don't know), but I think any upholstery shop could do it on the cheap.
