rear valance

Dont know if this exsists. but i am looking for a rear valance with vertical fins. Kind of like what is on the F1 cars, the C5-r, and the Viper Comp model. I am lookign for just cosmetic, so it doesnt have to be huge and functional. i just thought it would look cool, and hide the muffler. and finish the back of the car off for that super low and sleek look.

Kind of like this but a bit cleaner

anyhoo...if anyone has seen this, please let me know.

thanks.

Re: rear valance

cosmetic? They sell them at autozone for $30. Look in the section that has decals, license plate frames and rice accessories

Just curious... are you going to leave the stock spoiler on or....?

Re: rear valance

He's talking about the lower valence not the spoiler... But anyway I haven't seen that anywhere, you are prolly gonna have to get one off another car and make it fit yours.

i think a good place to start making one would be to start with the CME rear valance if you cant find one pre-fabbed for our cars. that seems like it would be a good starting point for that kind of project to me, if only i had time for such things depending on what route you take this could turn out really good. i wanna see something if you do anything with this or find one already made somewhere! imagine a camaro sitting 2" off the ground with a rear valance like that

Re: rear valance

It's called a rear "Diffuser". And is an aerodynamic device that produces down force at the rear.
I don't know of any one that makes one for us. Because the Vett. is nearly the same size, often times the stuff that is made for it, can be adapted to the Camaro.
Your best bet would be to research the shops that race ProAm, GranAm, LeMans, etc.
