Rear T/A and bird decal
Rear T/A and bird decal
I was looking at the rear of my TA in the middle of the two rear tail lights, on that 3rd middle piece with the key hole, and was wondering if the lettering "Trans Am" along with the bird emblem is a decal or is it painted on there? Is there a way to remove it?
It looks to be recessed into the plastic piece so i think it was painted on there?
Thanks

If you are talking about this because it is all faded out (very common) you should be able to mostly remove it with rubbing alcohol. On my bud's car we did this and it took off the remainder of the paint. We then put a new decal on over it and it looked great!
If you want to get rid of it completely, you'll have to take a high grit sandpaper (like 600 to 1500) and sand out the ridges then use a compound to shine it back up. This will give you a completely black and ridgeless rear panel
