rear seat cover-removal

Just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the rear seat cover. I have removed all the hogpins and it looks like the fabric is glued to the foam. Any way of separating them without tearing the cover/foam?

Thanks.

Are you talking about the cushions or the seat back? I imagine you mean the cushions since the back doesn't use hog rings. They shouldn't be glued down. They should be stuck to the foam with some hook-and-loop tape. The only reason they'd be glued is if someone else had them off before you and put them back on with glue.

Yeah you were right it's the seat bottoms, the ones with the hogrings.
Well I got it off and it was infact glued. I wonder what was up with that. Only thing I can think of is someone took them out for washing but then again it still had the inspector stickers on the seat covers from 1996.
Thanks for the help though man.

That's strange. When we reupholstered my seats last year there wasn't any glue on them anywhere.

Isn't there Velcro inside the seats? Maybe the velcro was removed so someone replaced it with glue.

Mine didn't have any velcro on them (not the bottom cushions atleast) and everything looked really untouched but it could have been possible someone removed them for cleaning maybe.

Btw for anyone wondering I got them washed up on Delicate cycle with some Gain detergent and they look great and smell great too.

(used cold wash and put them in dryer, no shrinkage)

FWIW i took one of the seat covers off my 95 T/A today and it was in fact glued on. i'm 99% sure the seats have never been recovered before. you can see in these pics where some of the foam came up with the cover
