Re-covering leather seats
Re: Re-covering leather seats
I would like to know the same thing. My driver side bolster is looking pretty rough as well (from rubbing getting in and out). I was thinkin about buying a whole new piece of trim for the front side back, but thought that would be pretty pricey. I'm thinkin prolly over $100 from the dealership.
I would like to know if anyone has had theirs fixed through a local shop that specializes in this kinda thing and how it turned out. Sorry, didn't mean to jack the thread, just wanted to add that on.
Btw, I tried a $12 leather patch kit from a local parts store and tried it on half the roughed up area. Turned out ok, but not that great. Only about a 6 or 7 out of 10. The problem is you have to mix colours together to get your proper shade thats why it doesnt turn out 100%. ie. for me it was white and black to get that charcoal color my leather is.
