IMO Lt1 Front end is better looking... ALOT better actually.. Wheels.. i didnt take a good look, those Zr1s?, personally im inbetween Zr1's and Z06's not sure at the moment.. and a Wtype kit looks awsome on camaros IMO... other then that great lookin car
For the camaros I like the LT1 front better especially the SSs with a 97 interior. but anyway I agree the LS1 front blends in with cars more than the LT1. But I think it looks good both ways, I just prefer the LT1 front.

All I can say is that you really did a good job.
It obviously took alot of work. The only thing is that after all that work you have what amounts to a 98+ body with some very mild mods. Seems like it would have been easier just to buy an LS1 car and do some mods. That way you would have an LS1 engine and you would have done less work to get the same visual appearance.
Not flaming you at all, that took alot of skill to pull of properly, just wondering out loud.
Dave
Btw: Lower the car and get some different rims.

But after the accident I thought about purchasing a new LS1, but didnt want to have to take on payments. So I put about $2000 into getting the LS1 front end with the SS hood.
so in total I spent $6500 for my 94Z to look like a LS1(and that includes the price of what I did before)... but after a few more things like Ground Effects, leather and maybe a T-Top conversion, Im going to start working on the engine.. just little things like headers and roller rockers... I dont want to go too crazy on it. Then whenever the engine needs rebuilding I might go supercharged. Until then. Im happy!
and as for the rims, I just didnt want to have those old salad shooters anymore, so I luckily found these factory 98 chrome 5 star rims off a wrecked camaro, and they were in perfect condition with new tires... so I worked out a trade for my old ones +$200 cash. They arent the ZR1's I wanted but they are ALOT better looking than the stock 94 salad shooters that were on the car. And they make the glossy black paint really stand out more, as does the headlights and clear corners.

Sorry, fellow EP bro-ham, but I have never liked the LS1 front.
When are we gonna meet so I can see that thing in person? Looks like you put alot of good work into it.

Its cool, Ive too always liked the LT1s better, but I thought what the heck, might as well change it up, and like I said before, it really grew on me. As for meeting, let me know and we can check out eachothers rides... You can check out my brothers 2000 TA too... and maybe your friend could instruct me on how to do the T-top conversion.
As for as the LS1 front end goes, yours is one of the best I've seen. Personally I prefer the LT1, like some said it just looks meaner.
Course, it also looks older.
Either way its a pretty nice car. I'd skip the ground fx and go with the lowering springs and wheels, keep it tasteful.

Hey man,
I am another one that prefers the LT1 front end, unless you get ground FX, then the LS1 conversion looks pretty good.
I do like the SS hood you put on it.
Either way, it definately NEEDS bigger rims. I would go with some 19's

The car looks great, but I do like the LT1 front end better. I also think that you definitly need to change the wheels. I'm not a huge fan of those. Looks like you have put a lot of workinto your car.
He just out of curiosity, did you have to pay for the new front end, since it was stolen and then damaged?

But you live and you learn.
This might be a tiny bit off topic, but close enough...
I hate the LS1 grille, but love the headlights and sculpted hood lines.
I wonder if a guy could take an LS1 nose and hybrid it with an LT1 nose? A friend is a body man and he says that some shops have 'plastic welders'. So in theory you could cut the headlight indents out of the LS1 nose and weld them into an LT1 nose.
This would allow you to keep the aero headlights and retain the flow of the hood, but you would have the more aggressive looking nose and grille of the LT1.
I've tossed this one around for a while, it's just a little involved for me. I had a spare LS1 nose that I was going to try it with, but I gave it to a fellow F-car enthusiast to rebuild a wreck, so I guess I'll never know now.
I have been keeping this to myself so it would be unique, but since I'm not going forward with it, maybe someone else would like the idea.
