Wink Rate my Camaro

Im pretty bored so Im starting this thread... a little info, my car is a 94 Z28 Camaro. I have made alot of changes to the appearance of it in the 2 years that Ive owned it and Id like to know what you think about it... well after I got it exactly how I wanted it, it was stolen and wrecked... So I decided to put the LS1 front end on instead of just restoring the original LT1 front end.
1st: Do you like the LS1 face changeover that I did or do you think I should have left it the way it was(LT1 front end)?
2nd: What else do you think I should do to it?(appearance wise)

Thanks for taking the time to give me your imput

so far Ive added Chrome 98 5 spoke 16" Z28 rims, LS1 front end, clear corner turn signal lenes, GM SS hood, 98+WW SS spoiler, window tint, front and back camaro inserts.. I think everything has been tastefully done without going overboard, which is the look Im looking for... but is there anything else I should add? I am thinking Xenon Ground Effects as my next and final appearance mod.

Your car looks great man.I think the Xenon GFX kit will look good on it.The only other thing I would personally change would be some better wheels on that bad boy.

IMO - it's a nice looking car. I would also say go back to the lt1 front end, but also get a set of either gunmetal grey z06 wheels or perhaps a set of TTII wheels on there. Then drop it 1" and get a GFX kit. I think then you'll look pretty mean...

Dosent that thing get hot in the sun?

Not to bash anyone's opinion, but I think that the gfx will make it look worse. I just haven't been a big fan of them. I think some TT2's, 11's in the back, and then a sportline kit to lower it would make it look sweeeet. It just lacks some lowering springs and wheels. I like the more conservative, subtle look.

I think xxsaint69x's car looks bad *** like it is. Very subtle on the outside but still mean as hell lookin.

Mine still lacks the hood but if you look at it you will see what I am talkin about

Good luck with future mods!

Scott

damn! I didnt know there were so many LS1 haters in here Im not upset because I think its cool that you all gave your honest opinions.. but when I bought my car, I liked both body styles, but picked the LT1 because I thought had a meaner looking headlight setup... and I thought that was cool. But since my front end was smashed I though I'd do the LS1 changeover just because... and to tell you the truth it has grown on me. I think I may like it better than the older front end now.. And I dont know if its how the foglights are positioned or what, but I feel like the car seems to have a wider stance, and I like that. Not to mention that it makes me feel like Im driving a new car.
I was thinking if I ever get the ***** to do so I might try the T-Top conversion... but Im afraid of screwing it up after Ive put so much into this car.
Anyways, thanks again for your opinions and keep em coming!

I too agree- I like the LT1 front better.
I don't know if the windows were tinted originally (they were rolled down in the "Before" page, but that helps.
The clear corners make a world of difference in my opinion.
But yeah I love the LT1 headlight "look"- I can spot a camaro from 200 yards, especially if they have their fog lights on.
With the new LS1 front ends, I can't tell. When I finally get all my lights in, like 94BlackBowtie and Pu12en12g have, people will be going "that's that sweet camaro" since it'll be more recognizable.
Also, I personally don't like the red badges, BUT I do think they look nice. I'm doing the same "mod" in silver, so i think it's sweet meef. But red wouldn't have been my color of choice. but that's just my opinion. Sweet ride Rez,
Jay

yea I still have it but it has a little bit of damage to it. The top and bottom layers of fiberglass split, so you would have to somehow seal it together with somekind of epoxy thats made for fiberglass. that and there is a small chip in the corner next the to passenger side light. If your interested I can send you pics. Just email me

All I can say is that you really did a good job.
It obviously took alot of work. The only thing is that after all that work you have what amounts to a 98+ body with some very mild mods. Seems like it would have been easier just to buy an LS1 car and do some mods. That way you would have an LS1 engine and you would have done less work to get the same visual appearance.
Not flaming you at all, that took alot of skill to pull of properly, just wondering out loud.
Dave

Btw: Lower the car and get some different rims.

Hey,
I like what you have done with it, BUT I like the others am partial to the LT1 front end. Also, get the xenon GFX. I did and love them.
