I want to put black racing stripes on my red 1999 Camaro SS. I went to the paint guy where I'm getting it done, and he gave me dozens of different options (number of stripes and pinstripes, widths of stripes, under and/or over the spoiler). I was hoping you guys would have some suggestions or pictures that would help me make the decision. Thanks.

 

And, by the way, I just installed a new SLP Ultra-Z hood on my car, if that makes a difference.

 

Since it's an appearance modification, why not rely on your own preferences?

This the hood?
If so, I'd take the Rally stripesall the way down to just above the grille. And try to stay with me here. . . two 10 or twelve inch wide Rally stripes right down the center of the top of the whole car (like a old Chevelle SS) so, on the hood, about half of the stripe width is on the scoop, and half is on the flat part of the hood. . . still with me. . . good. then once the stripe reaches the opening in the scoop, it stops. But not the whole stripe just the part of the stripe thats on the scoop. So the other half of the width of the stripe continues all the way to the grille. I know its hard to understand, but I cant get pictures cuz i dont know of anyone with this . So, basically, the opening of the scoop has no stripe directly in front of it.

So from front bumper to rear it goes, starts at grille with 2 roughly 6 in wide stripes about a foot apart. Then once the scoop starts both stripes extend roughly 6 in to the center making them about an inch or 2 apart. This continues all the way up the car on the roof, to the deck lid, and down the rear bumper.
