Ok, I just ordered the console from a 99 for my 95 camaro. I know about the gap, but im a little confused as to wether i need a differant brace or bracket as wellm or do i just need to enlage the one hole. Thanks for any help.

 

If you mean the one that's in the middle under the shift plate just enlarge it.

 

There is a front mounting bracket for the console. Most consoles don't seem to come with it. I made my own out of a flat piece of aluminum strap that i bent into a C.
