question from guys with WW SS Spoiler

I'm getting a 98+ SS spoiler from wings west this week because my boss gets wholesale from them at our bodyshop. But anyway i'm a little scared when all you talk about how you have to grind down the base on one side to make it fit. Exactly how much do you have to grind off? Is it just a little bit or a considerable amount, and how are you guys grinding this? And is it just one side or both?

There's a bubble that sticks up on driver side of the hatch.I had to take a drill with a sawbit on it and cut this out.

Why would anybody want to buy a product that does not fit and that you have to grind? Does not make sense to me.

the oem ss spoiler cost double what the wings west cost. since I work in a bodyshop it's not much of a hassle, we do it everyday. Just wanted to know beforehand what was up with the spoilers.
