Question on dash swap wiring, camaro 93-96---->97++

Did lots of searches, but couldn't find 100% answers, anyone help with a few wiring questions, PLZ....

Do the A/C controls/Headlight switch/Interior light(dimmer) hardness etc plug up/interchange? or do I need to cut the plugs etc off the 97++ donor car and wire manually....? I realize I will need to extend the trunk release wiring for sure, and rewire the rear defrost button also, and extend the fog lights wires to the 97++ radio trim ring, but once there, does it plug up, or do I need the harness off the 97++ donor car????

Re: Question on dash swap wiring, camaro 93-96---->97++

The headlight/dimmer switch plugs are the same... The blower fan speed plug on the A/C panel is the same... The rotary temp is the same(just unbolt off the old and bolt onto the new panel), but I used the switch and cable that goes to the temp door off the donor car since it clicks and was a little different... I had a leak in one of the vacuum lines for the selector switch and I just replaced the whole thing on that.. So I'm not sure if they are interchangable... If you do get the vacuum lines and selector switch... You just need the 20" section of vacuum lines from the switch to the orange connector... It will plug into the 93-96 lines the rest of the way... I had to extended one of the A/C panel plugs in order for it to reach the new panel.. So be aware you may need to do that with a couple of the plugs.

*Just an added thing.. It may be obvious, but you'll need the center console out of the car also... The 96 console won't fit unless you break the tabs underneath and remove the cigarette lighter /cd holder compartment.

ok that doesn't sound to bad at all, thnx for details on the HVAC setup also. you have any idea about the fog lights switch by chance, besides the massive extension, does it plug up??

yea of course I got the console, IMO the console swap is almost more beneficial then the dash, 93-96 is a serious POS
