Question about w.wings Ground effects kit for the lt1 camaro PLEASE HELP

I'm thinking about buying the 93-97 camaro lt1 west wings ground effect kit for my car. I wanted to know - and it does make sense how is the air deflector under the car supposed to catch air when the kit covers it compeltey. Did anybody have overheating issues or just dont worry about it???

Wings West sells a new air deflector that is longer for that very reason

i didn't have any problems overheating but i have my fans coming on earlier. i put my ground effects on a few days ago without the new air deflector and have done just fine, but if you dont' have your fans set to come on earlier or a manual fan switch then you may have problems.

The kit comes with the air deflector so there's no problems.

The kit did come with the extender but I had to trim an inch or more off mine becouse if you have the lowering springs it picks up all the dead animals on the road. Mine runs very hot on the highway but fine in the city. They really change the look and turn an ordinary Z into a real eye catcher.

I cut mine down as well since I lowered my Camaro. I also bought a manual fan control just in case it get's out of control.

As was mentioned, the kit comes with a different air deflector. It is necessary. My car is lowered a bit so my air deflector hits about everything. If I straddle a dead squirrel, I have to worry if it'll end up in my radiator

Re: Question about w.wings Ground effects kit for the lt1 camaro PLEASE HELP

I was giving it allot of thought and I decided not to bother with ground effects. I really want the west wings but I know I will have nothing but problems with these. Oil changes - Thats not the main reason why it's how low the car is. My 95 dodge neon sometimes scraps the pavement by my house. And that a stock car. I know once the longer deflector and kit is on sooner or later it's gonna get torn up. You see they did allot of pothole repairs near my main roads. And instead of making it even with the road it's like a 3 inch speed bump. Every where you go. The roads are very bad. Thats the main reason why. I dont think I will have enough clearnance if my dodge neons air deflector got tore up.
